Geotechnical Engineer Professional
Experience Mr.
Wendt has practiced as a geotechnical engineer in Southern California
for over twenty years with extensive experience in Ventura, Los
Angeles, Riverside, and San Luis Obispo Counties.
Throughout his years of experience, he has provided geotechnical
consultation on a wide variety of projects involving complex
geotechnical conditions. He has extensive geotechnical engineering experience in
residential and commercial developments ranging from large residential
and commercial tracts to single lot residential developments.
His experience includes multi-story residential and commercial
developments, schools and hospitals, water storage tanks and reservoirs,
subterranean parking structures, roadways, and public works projects.
He has performed detailed stability analysis of numerous slopes
and landslides including evaluation of slope deformation and landslide
stabilization. Also, he has
evaluated liquefaction potential, static and dynamic settlement,
temporary and permanent excavations, expansive soil movement, shallow
and deep foundation systems, and ground modification and improvement.
His experience covers all aspects of project work from
feasibility, field investigations, laboratory studies, project
construction and engineering review.
As a geotechnical engineer, he has conducted numerous forensic
investigations for individuals, public agencies, and insurance carriers
regarding structure movement or distress caused by landslides, expansive
soils, liquefaction, ground shaking, settlement, and drainage or
erosion. Mr. Wendt has
provided expert witness testimony in depositions, trials and mediations.
Education
Mr.
Wendt received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the
University of Minnesota in 1981.
Registration
Mr.
Wendt is a State of California registered Civil Engineer (1984) and
Geotechnical Engineer (1995).
